On Thursday (March 29), The Weeknd surprised fans with the release of his new six-track project, My Dear Melancholy. Now, the Canadian crooner shares two new videos for the songs “Call Out My Name” and “Try Me.” The videos, which are exclusive to Spotify, are both shot in the vertical format, making it seem like they’re cellphone videos. The visuals for “Call Out My Name” find a woman lying on the floor as The Weeknd sings on multiple screens behind her. As for “Try Me,” the video was shot during a night out in Los Angeles and features Abel singing directly toward the camera while riding around in a car. At just six songs long, My Dear Melancholy is a short project that features only one guest appearance from French artist Gesaffelstein, who appears on the songs “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You.” Production on the project is handled by Frank Dukes, Mill Will Made-It, Skrillex and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk fame.
